Take me to Regions: Connie’s Story

Take me to Regions: Connie’s Story

My daughter and my husband are two of my favorite
people to spend time with, and I love getting outdoors with them. But twelve years ago I started having
pain in my left hip. It was really unnerving. It was becoming harder to bend over to
get dishes from the dishwasher and clothes from the dryer. Just the things that you do around the
house that you should be able to do easily. The pain was so severe that I
realized that I needed to go into Regions Hospital to see a doctor there. Connie’s tendency to
lean to the right and forward which did affect her walking and create back pain could have only been treated by an approach that used both neurosurgical and
orthopaedic techniques to correct her posture and
relieve the nerve compression and Regions Hospital is one of the few places where both neurosurgeons and orthopaedic
surgeons come together to come up with treatment plans that treat complex problems like the one Connie had. The surgery was very successful and I am glad I did it. I was able to get back to some of the
things that I took for granted. My experience with the spine team at
Regions Hospital was very good and the whole staff were all so caring and
professional They were there when I needed anything. My name is Connie and I’m glad I said
Take me to Regions.
